Hamas y Fatah acordaron que Fayyad no estará al frente del gobierno de transició-Hamas and Fateh Agree Fayyad Won’t Be Heading New Interim Government

Fuentes palestinas reportaron que Hamas y Fatah acordaron que el actual Primer Ministro de Cisjordania, Dr Salam Fayyad, no estará al frente del gobierno de transición que se constituirá luego de que el acuerdo entra ambos movimientos sea oficialmente firmado.
La noticia fue dada a conocer por medio de una fuente allegada a los movimientos políticos que solicitó permanecer en el anonimato, y fue difundida a través de la Unión de Prensa Internacional. Lo manifestado resume que ambos movimientos, Fatah y Hamas, decidieron remover a Fayyad y agregaron que eso no significa que la remoción sea total o permanente para todos los cargos, sino que se piensa en él como un posible candidato a Ministro de Finanzas por su facilidad para conseguir donaciones y apoyo financiero.
La nueva cabeza del gobierno interino es probable que provenga de la Franja de Gaza. El gobierno no llevará una agenda política de momento y se centrará en preparar las futuras elecciones y supervisar la reconstrucción de Gaza.
Otras tareas del gobierno interino incluyen subsanar los efectos sociales y administrativos consecuentes a la división interna y los conflictos precedentes y reformar la OLP Organización para la Liberación de Palestina.
Todos los presos políticos de Fateh en Cisjordania y de Hamas en Gaza, serán liberados siguiendo a la ceremonia del acuerdo.
Las fuerzas de seguridad serán controladas por el gobierno de unidad.
Las elecciones se celebrarán un año después de este acuerdo con supervisión de los países árabes e internacional.
En las últimas horas en el Cairo se dieron a conocer los nombres de cuatro posibles candidatos para liderar el gobierno interino de unidad, estos son:
Munib Al-Masri: Millonario filántropo activista de Nablus que se encuentra relacionado con gente de Gaza y líderes independientes de Cisjordania y que ha viajado en varias oportunidades a Gaza para encontrarse con figuras locales. Es el director PEDECO, una firma de capitales palestinos.
Ziad Abu Amer, miembro del Consejo Legislativo, ministro de Gaza que obtuvo su maestría universitaria en la Universidad de Gerogetown en Washington.
Abed Al-Karim Shubeir Candidadto presidencial en las elecciones de 2005 en las que obtuvo el 2.6% del voto popular, quedando en cuarto lugar detrás de Abbas, Mustafa Barghouthi y Taysir Khald.
Jamal Al-Khudari Ministro de Gaza elegido por el consejo legislativo en 2006, ha sido un importante activista en promover la unidad.

A senior Palestinian source reported that the Hamas and Fateh movements agreed that the current Prime Minister in the West Bank, Dr. Salaam Fayyad, will not be heading the new interim unity government that would be formed after the unity deal is officially signed.
Speaking on condition of a anonymity, the source told the United International press agency that both Hamas and Fateh movements agreed on removing Fayyad, and added that this decision does not mean totally removing him from the government as some officials are calling for appointing him as a Minister of Finance for his ability to obtain international and financial support due to his good relations with donor countries.
The new head of the interim government will likely be from the Gaza Strip.
The government will not carry a political agenda, and will have certain tasks headed by ensuring a positive atmosphere for a lasting reconciliation, preparing for the new general and presidential elections, and to supervise the reconstruction of Gaza.
Other tasks of the government include resolving the social and administrative effects of the internal rifts and conflict, and to reform all Palestinian institutions, including the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).
All political prisoners held by Fateh in the West Bank and by Hamas in Gaza will be released following the official ceremony of signing the deal, while the Legislative Council will be resuming its duties in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The security forces will be controlled and run by the unity government.
The general, presidential and National Council elections will be consecutively held one year after the deal is signed.
The elections will be held under Arab and International supervision, and an elections court headed by a judge, and eight supervising judges, will be formed to ensure fair and transparent elections.
