Recordando los asesinatos de enero en Hamra-Back to January Hamra killings

El checkpoint de Hamra es uno de los cinco checkpoints que aislan el Valle del Jordán del resto de Cisjordania. Se encuentra localizado en la ruta que conduce a Tubas, en la entrada del pueblo de Frush Beddajan en la parte central del Valle.

El 2 de enero de 2011, un muchacho joven de Tubas fue asesinado por las fuerzas de ocupación en el checkpoint de Hamra, dos voluntarios del Jordan Valley Solidarity fueron testigos.
Ahmad Musulmani fue asesinado el 2 de enero de 2011 por las fuerzas de ocupación israelí cuando se dirigía desde Tubás hacia el Valle del Jordán.
Uno de nuestros voluntarios, mientras cruzaba con el auto el checkpoint, escuchó a un soldado gritando a Musulmani, "bakuk ! " (que significa botella en hebreo), luego le disparó dos veces.
El otro voluntario que cruzaba a pie, vio que otro soldado disparó a Musulmani 5 o 6 veces cuando ya estaba tirado en el piso.
El segundo mártir fue Khaldon Samoudi, quien fue asesinado una semana después. Las fuerzas de seguridad lo acusaron de llevar explosivos y de haber dicho la frase "Allah Al Akbar" (Dios es el más grande en árabe.
Testigos de la comunidad beduina que vive cerca del checkpoint manifestaron que el hombre sólo caminó tranquilamente hacia el checkpoint sin hacer ningún ademán fuera de lo común. La misma mañana, varios voluntarios del Jordan Valley Solidarity cruzaron el checkpoint y notaron la gran cantidad inusual de soldados. Los soldados estaban entrenando en el checkpoint, los voluntarios presintieron que algo ocurriría ese día.
Uno de nuestros colaboradores estuvo en el checkpoint cuando Samoudi de Yamoun, cerca de Jenin, fue asesinado.

Hamra checkpoint is one of the five checkpoints that close the Jordan Valley from the rest of the West Bank. It is located on the way to Tubas, at the entrance of Frush Beddajan village, in the central Jordan Valley.
Jordan Valley Solidarity volunteers cross this checkpoint everyday.
On the 2nd January 2011, a young man from Tubas was killed by the occupation forces at Hamar checkpoint, two JVS volunteers were witnesses.
Ahmad Musulmani was killed on 2nd January 2011 by the occupation forces at Hamra checkpoint on his way from Tubas to the Jordan Valley.
One of our volunteers heard, while he was crossing the checkpoint with his car, the soldier saying to Musulmani, "bakuk ! " (bottle in hebrew) and then shooting, two times.
The other JVS volunteer, crossing by foot, saw another soldier shooting on Musulmani 5 or 6 times while he was laying on the ground.
The second martyr, Khaldon Samoudi, was killed one week after. The occupation forces say that he was carrying explosives and said "Allah Wakbar" (God is the greatest in Arabic).
The Bedouin community that lives beside the checkpoint says that the young man was just walking toward the checkpoint, without doing nothing special.
The same morning several JVS volunteers crossed Hamra checkpoint and noticed an unusual high numbers of soldiers at the checkpoint. They were training, one showing his identity card, the other one pretending to shoot him.
It was clear for us that something would happen this day.
One of our volunteer reached the place just after Samoudi from Yamoun, beside Jenin, was killed.
After they killed the young man, the army undressed him with a robot and left him on the ground.
Finally, the Palestinian ambulance was allowed to reach the body after the Israeli army opened the area.
