19 violaciones contra periodistas en diciembre-19 violations committed against journalists in December

Hoy, el Centro Palestino para el Desarrollo y la iberta de Prensa (MADA), entregó su reporte mensual referido a las violaciones en contra de periodistas actuantes en los territorios palestinos.
De acuerdo a este reporte hubo 17 violaciones directas sobre periodistas y dos más en contras de su propiedad. Los delitos fueron cometidos por personal del ejército y servicios de seguridad de Israel en Cisjordania.
Estos ataques son una clara violación al derecho de libertad de expresión según la Ley Básica de Palestina y la Declaración de Derechos Humanos.
Comparado con las cifras del año pasado, la cantidad se ha duplicado durante este invierno, sólo 7 de las violaciones fueron reportadas en el mes de diciembre.

Today, the Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (MADA) issued its monthly report documenting violations against journalists in the Palestinian territories.
According to the report there were 17 violations against journalists and two against their property. The offenses were committed by both the Israeli army and the Palestinian security services in the West Bank and Gaza. These attacks are all in clear violation of the right to freedom of expression under both Palestinian Basic Law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Compared with figures from last year, violations have more than doubled this winter: just 7 violations were reported in December 2009.
