El lunes 25, la Piedra Fundamental, base de una nueva escuela en el Valle del Jordán, fue establecida.
Voluntarios de la Campaña de Solidaridad con el Valle del Jordán, junto a miembros de la comunidad de Ras Al Auja, han venido fabricando los ladrillos de adobe desde hace dos semanas.
El lunes por la mañana, con la apreciable visita de la Parlamentaria italiana del Partido Comunista Luisa Morgantini, el gobernador de Jericó y una delegación de más de 50 italianos, se inauguró oficialmente la construcción de la escuela que llevará el nombre de “Vittorio Arrigoni” in memoriam del activista del MIS (Movimiento Internacional Solidario) asesinado hace pocos días en Gaza.
La escuela en Ras Al Auja, servirá para educar a más de 200 niños de la zona que carecen de este servicio en los alrededores. Ras Al Auja se encuentra en Área C, la edificación requiere de permisos que o demoran años o nunca son otorgados.
Después de un emotivo momento de abrazos entre los concurrentes, todos ellos se sumaron a la tarea de construir y agregar un ladrillo más en las paredes de la escuela, mientras entonaban las estrofas de Bella Ciao o la Internacional Socialista para mantener el ritmo tanto del trabajo como del espíritu en alto en la lucha por la libertad.
Construir una escuela en Área C, la escuela de “Vittorio”, significa dar un paso más allá en la Resistencia.

On Monday 25th the First Stone, based of a new school in the Jordan Valley, was established.
Volunteers from the Jordan Valley Solidarity together with Ras Al Auja community members have been making mud bricks for the building during the last two weeks.
On Monday morning, with the appreciated visit of the Italian Parliamentary from the CP (Communist Party), Luisa Morgantini, the Jericho Gubernator and a delegation of more than 50 Italian persons, they inaugurated officially the building of the school which has been named “Vittorio Arrigoni” in memoriam of the Italian activist from ISM (International Solidarity Movement), murdered a few days ago in Gaza.
This school in Ras Al Auja will serve to education of more than 200 children who lacks of this service around. As Ras Al Auja is located in the Area C, building needs Israeli permission, but these permits neither take a lot of years nor never are given.
After an emotive moment full of hugs among the assistants, all of them joined to the work, adding one or more bricks to the walls of the school while singing the lyrics of traditional Bella Ciao or the Socialist International enforcing the rhythm and the spirit of this struggle for freedom.
Building a school in Area C, the school of “Vittorio”, means a step further in resistance.
