El primer ministro israelí, Benjamin Netanyahu, declaró que Israel siempre va a construir en Jerusalem y la va a desarrollar para que sea una ciudad de avanzada".
Netanyahu dijo que la relación entre los israelíes y Jerusalén no puede ser cuestionado y los Judios en todo el mundo mirarán hacia adelante para volver a él y vivir allí.
También afirmó que la "lucha judía de Jerusalén es una lucha por la existencia".
Netanyahu hizo estas declaraciones en un centro judío en Jerusalén en el marco del 43aniversario de la "unificación de Jerusalén".
Jerusalén Oriental es parte de los territorios palestinos y árabes ilegalmente capturados y ocupados por Israel durante la guerra de 1967.

Netanyahu was speaking at a Jewish center in Jerusalem marking the 43rd anniversary of “unifying Jerusalem”.
East Jerusalem is part of the Palestinian and Arab territories Israel illegally captured during the 1967 war.
The Palestinians seek the city as the capital of their anticipated state.
Consecutive Israeli governments, as well as the government of Netanyahu, regard settlement construction and expansion in the occupied city as a right and a responsibility of every Israeli leader.
