La fundación palestina por los derechos humanos (PHRF) informó hoy sábado, que desde el comienzo de este año, 52 residentes palestinos murieron en los túneles de la frontera después a causa de que las autoridades egipcias rociaron gas dentro de los túneles, cuando los residentes estaban en ellas.
El PHRF declaró que las autoridades egipcias rocian gas deliberadamente en los túneles utilizados por los residentes para el contrabando de alimentos, medicinas, y suministros esenciales que no se encuentran en la Franja de Gaza debido al asedio en curso dirigida por Israel.
La fundación dijo que esta es una grave violación al Derecho Internacional ya que prohibe una actividad semejante hacia zonas civiles, y considera el acto como un crimen premeditado.
Dijo que existen todas las pruebas y circunstancias que implican a Egipto en crímenes tan graves, y exigió al gobierno egipcio a actuar en contra de estas violaciónes y dejar de ser parte del asedio israelí injusto e ilegal.
El PHRF declaró, además, que el sitio es considerado un crimen de guerra según el artículo ocho de la ley básica de la Corte Penal Internacional.
Los túneles se han convertido en el último recurso para los palestinos que viven en estado de sitio desde hace más de cuatro años, y añadió que Egipto debe buscar alternativas que permitan a los residentes poder recibir todos los suministros necesarios.
La fundación dijo que el gas y otras armas no convencionales utilizadas, violan el derecho internacional y que Egipto es en parte culpable del sitio en curso ya que tiene su propia frontera con Gaza y aunque podría abrirla, elige ayudar a Israel y ser cómplice del sitio, de los asesinatos y del castigo colectivo e injustificado desde todo unta de vista de mñas de 1,5 millones de palestinos.
Exigió que Egipto abra de forma permanente la terminal de Rafah y permita la entrada de medicamentos, suministros médicos, alimentos y todos los suministros esenciales.

The Palestinian Human Rights Foundation (PHRF) reported Friday that since the beginning of this year, 52 Palestinian residents were killed in border tunnels after the Egyptian Authorities gassed the tunnels while the residents were in them.
The PHRF stated that the Egyptian Authorities are deliberately gassing the tunnels used by the residents to smuggle food, medicine, and essential supplies not found in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli-led siege.
The foundation said that this is a serious violation to the International Law as it forbids gassing civilian areas and considers the act as a premeditated crime.
It said that all proofs and circumstances implicate Egypt in such serious crimes, and demanded the Egyptian government to act against these violations and to stop being part of the unjust and illegal Israeli siege.
The PHRF further stated that the siege is considered a war crime according to the eight article of the basic law of the International Criminal Court.
It said that the tunnels became the last resort to the Palestinians living under siege for more than four year now, and added that Egypt must find alternatives and enable the residents to be able to receive all needed supplies.
The foundation said that using gas and other unconventional weapons violate the International law and held Egypt responsible in part for the ongoing siege as it has its own border with Gaza and could open it, but instead it chooses to help Israel and be part of the siege illegally enforced as collective punishment against more than
1.5 million Palestinians.
It demanded Egypt to permanently open the Rafah Terminal and enable the entry of medicine, medical supplies, food and all essential supplies.
