Decenas de colonos judíos armados de Bat Ayin, atacaron viviendas palestinas en la cercana aldea de Safa, al norte de la meridional ciudad cisjordana de Hebrón.
Los colonos arrojaron piedras y botellas vacías a los hogares palestinos, y cuando los soldados israelíes llegaron al lugar, los soldados dispararon gases lacrimógenos a los residentes palestinos y hacia sus casas en lugar de evacuar a los colonos.
Fuentes médicas informaron que hay varios heridos e intoxicados entre los palestinos que ha debido ser hospitalizados.
Mohammad Ayyad, portavoz del Proyecto de Solidaridad con Palestina, dijo que los colonos comenzaron su ataque a las 5 am, de la mañana de hoy miércoles, los mismo colonos prendieron fuego las tierras de cultivo palestinas y un grupo de productores logró controlar las llamas por lo que los campos no fueron incendiados en su totalidad aunque se perdió un buen porcentaje.

Fuentes israelíes informaron que decenas de policías entraron en el barrio esta madrugada y demolieron otras casas.
Más tarde, los colonos atacaron el pueblo palestino y sus habitantes como un acto más de venganza.
Los colonos del asentamiento Bat Ayin han llevado a cabo repetidos ataques contra los habitantes del pueblo, quemado y arrancado cientos de árboles de la paz y vides, y destruido propiedades, irrumpieron en las casas, atacaron a los residentes con bastones, y abrieron fuego contra ellos.
El asentamiento ilegal fue construido por una orden directa emitida por el entonces primer ministro, Ariel Sharon, en 1992.
Se estableció sobre la tierra de la aldea de al-Jab'a en el extremo noroeste del distrito de Hebrón como una de las diez colonias que forman el bloque de asentamientos de Gush Etzion, que es uno de los tres principales bloques de asentamientos en Cisjordania después de Ariel en el norte y Ma'ale Adumim en el centro. Dozens of armed Jewish settlers of Bat Ayin Settlement, attacked Palestinian homes in the nearby village of Safa, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
The settlers hurled stones and empty bottles at the Palestinian homes, and when Israeli soldiers arrived at the scene, the soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the Palestinian residents and their homes instead of evacuating the settlers.
Medical sources reported several injuries among the Palestinians who inhaled the tear gas fired by the Israeli military.
Mohammad Ayyad, spokesperson of the Palestine Solidarity Project, said that the settlers began their attack at 5 a.m, on Wednesday, and also tried to set Palestinian farmlands ablaze but local farmers managed to stop them.
The attack was carried out after a farmer claimed a group of settlers that they were building houses illegaly on his lands. The settlers built the homes on Palestinian lands.
Israeli sources reported that dozens of policemen entered the settlement early on Wednesday at dawn and demolished homes.
Later on, the settlers attacked the Palestinian village and its residents as an other act of revenge.
Settlers of Bat Ayin settlement carried repeated attacks against the villagers, burned and uprooted hundreds of peace trees and grapevines, destroyed property, stormed houses, attacked the residents with batons, and opened fire on them.
The illegal settlement was built by a direct order issued by the then-Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, in 1992.
It was established over the land of al-Jab'a village in the north western extremity of Hebron district as one of the ten colonies forming the Gush Etzion settlement block which is one of the three major settlement blocks in the West Bank after Ariel in the north and Ma'ale Adumim in the centre. It is located 1.5 km north of Khirbet Safa.
