Tel Aviv envió una carta oficial a las Naciones Unidas, estableciendo que ellos tienen el derecho de interceptar el barco de solidaridad "Mariam" que lleva ayuda humanitaria a Gaza.
El canal 2 de la televisión israelí reportó que la enviada de Israel en las Naciones Unidas, Gabriella Shalev, entregó la carta al secretario de las Naciones Unidas, Ban Ki-Moon, advirtiéndole que Israel utilizará los medios necesarios para interceptar y detener a los buques solidarios de ayuda que navegan hacia Gaza.
Shalev declaró que los organizadores de la flota tiene vínculos con el partido Hezbollah y que el gobierno de Israel no puede estar seguro de que no se trate de terroristas y que transporten armas.
Vale la pena mencionar que el partido Hezbollah, manifestó de antemano que ellos no tienen nada que ver con estos barcos de ayuda humanitaria.
El partido agregó que ellos mantienen distancia de la flota para dar garantías a Israel y que no los ataquen, y evitar de esta manera la imperiosa ayuda a los habitantes de Gaza sea interceptada.
A pesar de que no se sabe exactamente cuándo estará arrivando la nave, el diario Haaretz de Israel reportó que creen que será mañana domingo.
Israel intenta usar la fuerza al mismo nivel que la utilizada con violencia contra el barco tuco Mavi Marmara el 31 de mayo.
La armada israelí recibió instrucciones precisas de detener los barcos y utilizar oara esto, cuanta fuerza fuera necesaria.
Cabe mencionar que la tripulación completa del buque libanés son mujeres musulmanas y cristianas, además de los elementos de medicina y otros recursos humanitarios.

Israel intends to use force similar to the violence used against the Marmara Turkish ship on May 31.
The army received instructions to stop the ships by all means and to use force if needed.
It is worth mentioning that that the Lebanese ship will only carry women, Muslim and Christian, in addition to medical and humanitarian supplies.
Muslim and Christian leaders held prayers on Friday afternoon in southern Lebanon. The prayers were held in Maghdousha town near Sidon at a cave believed to be the location where Mary waited for her son, Jesus Christ, as he toured the area with his disciples.
Reema Farah, spokesperson of the Lebanese ship, said that the participants are determined to sail to Gaza, and that their only weapon is Virgin Mary and humanity.
Farah added that the ship is carrying medicine and will sail to Gaza regardless of the Israeli threats.
She warned Israel not to repeat “the same sin its soldiers carried against the Marmara ship”, and added that women from Syria, Egypt, Kuwait, several European countries, and the United States will be sailing to Gaza on board the Mariam ship.
