El gobierno israelí instruyó a sus fuerzas navales militares que deben interceptar, y si es necesario atacar a las dos naves libanesas que se dirigen a Gaza con ayuda humanitaria.
Los barcos, "Naji Al Ali" y "Mariam", van cargados de alimentos, medicinas y otros elementos de ayuda humanitaria para la sitiada franja de Gaza.
El gobierno israelí advirtió que harán frente a cualquier tipo de resistencia de la misma manera que lo hicieron hace cosa de tres semanas, frente a la tripulación del buque de bandera turca Mavi Marmara donde hubo activistas por la paz muertos y heridos.
Un oficial israelí manifestó que si bien las críticas y reacciones de la comunidad internacional con lo ocurrido en el Mavi Mármara, a ellos no les queda otra opción que atacar con violencia si los barcos siguen con la intención de llevar ayuda a Gaza.

The Israeli government instructed the army and the navy to intercept, and if necessary, to use force against the two Lebanese ships that would be heading to Gaza to deliver humanitarian supplies.

The Israeli government said that should the army “face resistance” after boarding the ships, the soldiers will use the same methods and techniques used in attacking the Marmara Turkish ship, nearly three weeks ago, leading to the death of peace activists injuries.
An Israeli official said that Israel took into consideration criticisms and reactions of the international community against the attack on the Marmara ship, but has no other solution to the issue rather than attacking violently them if they decide to continue sailing to Gaza.
